Car washes in the United States come in four main formats: the express tunnel, where you stay in the car while a conveyor pulls it through brushes or high-pressure jets; the full-service wash, where attendants vacuum and wipe down the interior after the tunnel; the self-service bay with a coin or card-operated pressure wand, foam brush and vacuums; and the hand wash, where a crew washes and dries the car by hand. Touchless tunnels skip the cloth brushes entirely and rely on chemicals and water pressure, which is gentler on paint but less effective on heavy grime. Most express chains sell an unlimited monthly plan, usually priced at two to three single washes, that is only worth it if you wash more than twice a month. Gas stations often bundle a discounted wash with a fill-up.

Chesapeake is in Virginia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Chesapeake follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Equipment is decent and the place is reasonably maintained. The only way to pay wirh cash is to buy their proprietary tokens which is a pain. When the in-bay equipment malfunctions and takes the tokens with out giving any wash time- you're just out that money. They've got QR codes everywhere to report issues, but reporting doesn't result in a response for them or any type of refund for the lost money.

Awful experience. First time using this place. I used the drive through wash. The machine somehow got caught on my rear wiper and snapped it off. When I complained to the company they told me as my vehicle is over 7 years old this is wear and tear. Do not use under any circumstances! In essence I paid for them to damage my car. It didnβt even do a great job of cleaning the parts of the car it didnβt snap off. I have a subscription with Green Clean for my other 2 year old car. Much better cleaning and after using for months they have never snapped any part of my vehicle off (probably the minimum expectation of a car wash). Iβll stick with them instead.

Update: 6/6/26 Brandon, the general manager, got in touch and I met him there today. He gave me a cash refund and said sorry for what happened. He hooked me up with a free wash and tutorial, a gift bag, and 4 free wash codes. But what really made me change my review to 5 stars was his vibe. He was genuinely sorry about my experience and super nice. He gave me tips and showed me common user mistakes to avoid future problems. π Man, I really should've checked the reviews before I kept going there. They totally ripped me off for $24. I went through the wash, and it only soaped up my car for a minute before it just stopped. I had to go to one of the bays and wash it myself. I hit them up on 4/18 for a refund, and they asked if I'd take a wash code for a new wash instead. I said, "Sure." But when I went to use the code, it said it was already used on 4/20. π€ I contacted them again and asked for a refund. They told me the refund processed on 5/15, but I don't see anything pending on my end. I contacted them again, and still nothing, and now it's 5/28. Over a month of nothing but BS runaround. I guess I have no choice but to dispute it with my card issuer, which sucks because I shouldn't

Went to automatic car wash. Paid and coins falling out.. yelled at a guy there and he was so rude. Said he was the GM and I told him if I didn't say anything I could of had all the coins. And he said only take one.. never again. RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!! Luckily I was being nice by telling him. I could of had at least 60 dollars of free vacuuming.. Owner should teach his workers, without customers they don't have a job

Absolutely NOT $24.00 And this was the second time going through and the attendant even rinse my car off in the self wash. This car wash needs some serious maintenance. Literally going to have to take my car somewhere else and spend another $25 to get it. Clean is ridiculous.
